So...that SAGE thing
So, SAGE is right around the corner. Unfortunately, I don't have much to show. So, I'm showing the demo from last year as well as an updated version of act 2. This updated version of act 2 is completely redesigned and has been ported to MMF2. Additionally, some bugs have been fixed. Please note this is in beta and not bug free by any means. So, if you find bugs or whatever, don't freak out, it's expected. Download links are below:

And the speed picks up
To make a long story short, little to no progress was made on ET:CF during the school year. Between work and homework I had little time to do much. Now that summer is here, we here at CKT have kicked it back into full swing. Currently we have a bunch of new sprites on the way, new levels in the works, and the engine is basically finished. The big thing that'll be done soon is a port over to Multimedia Fusion 2. I'm not sure how easy this transition will be, however in my next update (I promise it won't be a year :3) I will give you all a preview of some of the new stuff we're working on. Additionally Zalorus and Frank will be rejoining our team. Progress should speed along. |

I told you I'd Update!
I've done a little more work on my game Emerald Ties: Crossing Fates. I've acquired some new backgrounds, as you can see from these pictures:

Those levels are Searing Summit and Arctic Apex. Aside from that, just some work on a little submarine engine I'm using for one of the levels. It has fun things, like boosting and torpedo firing. Honestly, I don't think it's anything special, but it's nifty and hopefully it'll be enjoyed. Here are some screenies of that:

If you want to try out the engine, download it here: Sub Engine. Spacebar is boost, control is to fire a torpedo. Hopefully some new levels will be designed soon...GD out. |

Current Direction of ET: CF
I'm sure some of you are wondering where ET: CF is headed now that SAGE is over. In short, I don't plan to release any more demos. The first two demoes were purely to see what the player's reaction was to the game, as well as how it ran on player's computers and such. At the moment, I'm fine tuning a few things in the engine as well as a few other miscellaneous things, but the main focus now is more content.
As of the moment, three (possibly four) background sets are in the works. With these on our plates, we should be able to construct more levels. I'm guessing that by the end of the year, we will probably have about half of the levels completed. I hope to have a completed or very near completed product by the time the next SAGE rolls around. This may seem like a large goal...especially since in this whole time since last SAGE, all that was completed were two acts (two weeks before SAGE mind you), but I have faith that we will work hard because we now at least have backgrounds to work with. I'll try to update again with a progress report soon. |

Woo! SAGE is here!

The Sonic Amateur Games Expo (SAGE) is now open. The event runs until Jul 9th. Be sure to check out the new Emerald Ties: Crossing Fates demo. You can find it by going to the demos page and downloading it there. You can also go to the SAGE website: here. Look for the CKT booth (it's on the 4th page of booths). |

Guess who's back and ready to level design. Go on, guess.
Well, that was a nice hibernation, and now I've gotten back to work. I've decided not to include my own fangame in this year's SAGE. Due to the fact that there's so little time left between now and SAGE X, I really don't have time to work on both my fangame and this one. Especially considering how my game needs far more work to be considered "ready" for a demo.
So, if I were to decide between my fangame and ET:CF, then it's really no contest. I do owe a lot to Gamerdude for his continued help and support, as if it weren't for him, I wouldn't be this far in fangaming. This way, I not only get to work on potentially the greatest Sonic fangame of all time, but I also get to help a friend. Killing two birds with one stone, mm? Although it may seem somewhat painful at first, it's really a small cut for me in the long run.
You're probably bored of reading this by now, and providing you haven't closed the browser already, I'll get to the point of this update. I'll probably continue working on ET:CF for a majority of my free time, not only until SAGE X, but for much of the summer. ET:CF has much potential, so I'll do the best I can to contribute my awesomeness to it. :3
I'm currently designing Act 2 of Sparkling Seaside, and am very pleased with how it's turning out. I do believe I'm almost done with it, too. After this, I'll pester Gamerdude to assign me more work. I'll just take it as it comes.

Now for something completely different...
Ok, to cut a long story short. I found this game whilst mucking around on the school computers, and as history may have it, I like it so damn much I think I should remake it.
It's called Soccer Slime. You may or may not have played it, but it's addictive as hell. Unfortunately it looks very eye stabbing.
Play it here: http://fractal.leet.net.au/page.php?page=wcss
See what I mean? You also need a second player by your side to play properly, otherwise that would be cheating. ;P
Well, I have decided to remake such a thing. Only a small app, but it will be fun. I've already started on the graphics.
But now to other news:
GAME DEVELOPMENT:
ET:CF has changed very much. Rael seems to have gone into hibernation, so I am starting the Ice Level. I have the background so as soon as I can I will get down to it.

My first update
Hey, Rael0505 here. I joined the Chao Killer Team months ago, before SAGE 9, as a beta tester. Later, I began designing levels on paper, and I got my level designer (NintenDan), to make a level too. Recently, I began showing interest in making backgrounds, and I hope to get skilled with it. So far, I've designed 2 acts, and started on one more. As for backgrounds, I've made a little bit of the desert zone, and probably won't finish it until I get better with making backgrounds.
I'm glad to be a part of this team, and I hope to contribute as much as I can to it.

Ok, thinking...
Well, long story short, my life is in a shambles right now and it needs sorting out, which I hope it will do by itself. Some may say I'm being a dumbass to think that, but it seems to be working.
Anyway, ET : CF is starting to become much more important to me in the sence that I seem to now have a lust for working on it, as before it was just kind of like a time-eater with some amount of joy.
I hope to be working much harder on it from now on, well at least after I get some more of my Science homework done anyway. >_>
Zal out. |

Here comes I!
Well hello, this is Blyde, member of Chao Killer Team and spriter for Emerald Ties:Crossing Fates! Now that he's granted me access to the news updates, I can tell you all about the fact that he...*hears gun cock*...er...let's steer away from that now, it's very unnecessary...anyway, I may be updating more, mm'kay? Look for more!

Me? Updating? No way!
I know, it's amazing, but it's true! Thought I'd clue everyone in on what's been happening since SAGE. Here's the scoop: Emerald Ties: Crossing Fates is progressing well. I have spiffied up the version showed at SAGE quite a bit. There's new features (yay for the online time attack <3) like free play mode, offline and online time attack, and story mode of course. As for actual level progres, that remains to be seen. Currently, three people are working on background sets for me, all going pretty slow, it's quite painful at times. Until I get those, no physicaly levels can be constructed. I do have some layouts of future levels drawn by two people, which will help speed things up once the backgrounds are completed. |
